Upcoming NIH International Cancer Education Conference

The International Cancer Education Conference is an annual meeting that discusses advances and approaches in cancer education research and practice.  In past ICEC meetings, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) held sessions to present information about its institutional research education (R25) funding opportunities and heard from investigators implementing these projects.   The next ICEC will be held in Oct 2022.  For the first time this year, NCI will convene a pre-conference workshop for early career investigators interested in global cancer research.  NCI institutional research education initiatives help facilitate interest in cancer research, provide training opportunities and offer mentorship.  As individuals develop their research careers, career development awards at NCI and NIH provide mentorship and protected time for research and also support training needed to support career advancement and independence.   The recent interest in global research among the cancer research community and funding programs for global research training at NCI have spurred the development of this workshop. Details are as follows; the workshop will be interactive and have opportunities for discussion.  We look forward to your participation.
